The Pharmacy Technician Introduction Module will introduce and acquaint students with the basics of pharmacy practice. Students will learn basic medical and drug terminology, introductory concepts to pharmacology and pharmacy law, as well as review pre-algebra concepts related to pharmacy calculations.

The PRE-VN course is a 5-week class as an introductory program into the 48 week Vocational Nursing Program. Topics include: program requirements, legalities and ethics, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, dosage calculations, and nursing process. Scores will be based on class participation, attendance, assignments, group work projects, individual presentation, exams, and interview. HS or GED Diplomas/Transcripts will be collected in this class. The top 30 students will be invited to enter the VN program's Fundamentals of Nursing, weeks 1-5.

This course site will serve as a resource to help in the successful completion of our program. Students should visit this site at least twice per week to obtain current information regarding classroom and clinical content. The DAS-VN program is approved by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT). This is a full-time, 48 week long program offering both theory and practical hands-on training necessary to become a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) in the state of California. Graduation from our program qualifies the student to apply for licensure by examination for the NCLEX-PN.
